Thesis 1

I haven't posted any illustrations on here for a while cause I am currently working on my thesis at art school. Here is one of the images I have done so far for it.

My thesis is to create a series of illustrations proving that the futuristic technologies we may have imagined to be living with at this point in time would only create more problems within our everyday lives.

Playing Music (?)

Next to drawing, my favorite thing to do making music. I have been recording music since I was around 9 and have recorded a total of 72 albums so far. Of course most of those are un-listenable messes, I think they show a slow progression into the making of real music. (maybe)
Last year on this day I played my very first concert in front of people. It went well. So well in fact, I decided it was time to start distributing my music to others to see what people thought of it! So after many long nights of working here is a five song ep that I have put together this past year. The plan is to release it in a month or two as a split cassette ep with my friends Armans Frozen Peas, but here is a download of it until then. I also plan on releasing the full length album I have been working for even longer then this sometime later this winter. I'd love to hear what you all think as I am mostly posting this as a learning experience for myself, but also for you all to hopefully enjoy.
Have a nice day!

Hot Mess Magazine

My wonderful friend Sabrina Scott took time out of her busy life this past March to put together a beautiful, full color, 24 page magazine full of fresh OCAD talent called "Hot Mess". This piece made it into the magazine! There will be a launch party for the very first issue of this magazine tomorrow at The White House Gallery (277.5 Augusta Avenue). Also to celebrate the occasion I will be displaying three new arts that I made today and yesterday at the opening. Everyone in Toronto should come to this cause it's going to be super fun! Doors at 9pm. Hope to see you all there! Also don't forget to grab a copy of the magazine! IT'S FREE!

(cover by Sabrina)

Also, special thanks to everyone who came to visit our TCAF booth thingy! I had a really great time and met tones of cool people!

Two Spot Illustrations

We had to do two spot illustrations regarding two different articles for a travel magazine. (I apologize for the bad scans)

This was for an article about a Swedish town that is collapsing, (literally) and must be moved to another location.

This was made for an article about a town in Japan that separates their recycling into 34 categories.

It will be available tomorrow in the main lobby of 100 McCaul for OCAD's second annual zine fair. It's called "Diary Excerpts From The Saddest Man Alive." There will probably be a very limited quantity, because I haven't made them yet. Wanna buy one? Let me know! I am making more!
